Meet Crystal
Life can be challenging, especially when you’re carrying the weight of anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, past trauma, life transitions, or questions about identity and connection. Reaching out for support takes courage, and finding the right therapist is an important first step.
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor (LPCC-S), National Certified Counselor (NCC), Air Force Veteran, and psychotherapist licensed in Ohio, Kentucky, Oregon, and Maine. I have had the privilege of helping individuals and couples navigate some of life’s most difficult and meaningful moments, since I started in this field in 2004.
My approach practical, solution focused, and collaborative. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel respected and supported while also being challenged to grow. Together, we will explore the patterns, experiences, and obstacles that may be keeping you stuck and develop strategies that help you move toward the life and relationships you want.
I work with individuals ages 16+ that experience:
• Anxiety and chronic stress
• Depression and mood concerns
• Relationship and communication difficulties
• Sexual health and intimacy concerns
• LGBTQIA+ issues and identity exploration
• Trauma and military-related experiences
• Life transitions, grief, and personal growth
Clients often describe me as direct, pragmatic, genuine, compassionate, and easy to talk to. I value authenticity and believe healing happens when people feel accepted exactly as they are while being supported in becoming who they want to be. My goal is to create a therapeutic environment where you feel safe enough to be honest, understood enough to feel connected, and empowered enough to make meaningful changes in your life.
My professional experience spans a wide range of settings, including private practice, hospitals, community mental health centers, foster care programs, community agencies, military installations, and equine-assisted therapy programs. These diverse experiences have allowed me to work with people from many different backgrounds, cultures, and life circumstances.
As both a veteran and therapist, I understand the unique challenges that can accompany service, transition, resilience, loss, and healing. I am passionate about helping individuals and couples strengthen relationships, improve communication, process difficult experiences, and create lives that feel more fulfilling and aligned with their values.
When I’m not working with clients, you’ll often find me spending time with my children, traveling, practicing yoga or Pilates, hiking, kayaking, attending live music events, or enjoying the excitement of thoroughbred horse racing. These experiences help keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of balance, connection, and finding joy in everyday life.
Whether you’re seeking support for a specific concern, navigating a difficult season, or simply feeling ready for a new chapter, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing, growth, and greater well-being.
